The first step is to visit a chapter or chapters in your region to ensure that BNI is something you feel will add value to your business. At the same time you might like to run a category search in the Trade Directory to find who else from your trade or profession is already an active member of BNI - you may be surprised at how many of your competitors you find!
All chapters are listed on the website - however as we only permit one person per trade or profession in a chapter - the next step is to contact the BNI Director for the chapter you are interested in prior to your visit to ensure that there is a vacancy for you. For the contact details of the local BNI Director in this region, click on the "Contact" tab located in the upper right of the screen, then click the area you are looking for.
Following your visit you decide you would like to apply for membership in that chapter - you will need to submit your application form together with your investment option to the chapter's Leadership Team for review. You will need an existing member to sponsor you as well as provide two business referrences for a follow up by the chapter's Leadership Team as part of the review process.
In the event that there is no vacancy for you at that chapter - please contact the administration department of BNI TASMANIA on (03) 6228 6410 or email admin@bnitasmania.com.au and ask to be place on the waiting list and contacted as soon as a vacancy becomes available.
